Soccer and music fans will have some extra time to enjoy an alcoholic beverage before last call in the coming weeks.

The Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba (LGA) is extending serving hours at Winnipeg establishments during FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 matches that are played in Winnipeg (June 8-16) and during the Winnipeg Jazz Festival (June 11 to 21).

Bars and restaurants will be able to serve drinks until 3 a.m. and remain open until 4 a.m.

All liquor service licensees who wish to extend service hours during these periods are required to notify the LGA.
