WINNIPEG — Outside of Folklorama, this weekend promises to be the most culture you may experience all year.
The sixth annual Culture Days takes place September 25-27, with Manitoba joining 29 other communities across Canada featuring 345 free activities.
“The aim of Culture Days is to promote the work of the artists and organizations who make Manitoba a more beautiful and exciting place to live”, said Culture Days Manitoba project manager Melissa Courcelles.
“Our goal is to make art and cultural celebrations accessible to Manitobans and to expose them to even more of the cultural projects taking place in every community across the province.”
Culture Days also encompasses Nuit Blanche Winnipeg — a free all-night party on September 26 celebrating the city’s contemporary art scene along Graham Avenue.
Visitors can also expect visual arts disciplines, farmers’ markets, street festivals, collective art-making projects, theatre, dance and music, new/digital media and spoken word.
A complete rundown of activities is available at mb.culturedays.ca and nuitblanchewinnipeg.ca.
