Days of blowing and drifting snow will have city crews hitting Winnipeg streets beginning tonight.

A snow route parking ban is in effect between midnight and 7 a.m. on main routes, bus routes and collector streets.

Sanding is continuing on regional streets, along with collector and bus routes. Spot plowing and sanding on residential streets is also taking place, as well as on sidewalks and active transportation pathways.

The snow route parking ban will be in effect until further notice, at which time the annual ban will continue to be in effect daily from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.
