April 12, 2016 2:46 PM | Sports

Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoThe Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed outfielder David Rohm.

Rohm has spent the first six years of his professional career in the Atlanta Braves’ organization, and batted .259 with one home run and 30 RBI in 100 games last season for the Double-A Southern League’s Mississippi Braves.

“We were looking for an athletic outfielder that hits from the right side to help balance out our lineup, and I truly believe we have found a good one,” said manager Rick Forney.

“David is very big at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, but he’s athletic enough to play all three outfield positions, as well as the corner infield spots.”

The Goldeyes now have 25 players under contract for 2016 and open the season May 19 against the Joplin Blasters at Joe Becker Stadium.
