WINNIPEG — Hockey in June isn’t a foreign thing for Canadians, so the inaugural Canadian Hockey Expo will be welcomed with open arms this weekend.
The RBC Convention Centre is playing host to the expo, centralized around all things hockey.
Winnipeggers Jarret Hannah and Chad Balmer co-founded the expo after spending many years playing the game, coaching it and serving on various boards and committees.
“The idea for the Canadian Hockey Expo really came from a need for folks to get together in one room and talk to trainers, equipment suppliers and influencers to answer their questions,” Hannah said.
“In our busy schedule, many of us are running all over the four corners of our city, whether it’s for a camp, training, gear, nutrition, you name it. We felt it was high time to put the who’s who of Hockey in one room.”
