Edmonton Man Dies in Shooting at Donald and Stradbrook

UPDATE: Sunday, November 27 — One of the two men has since succumbed to his injuries. Theodoros Belayneh of Edmonton was 32-years-old.

The second victim has been upgraded to stable condition.

Winnipeg police are actively looking for a shooter after two men were struck by bullets early Saturday morning.

Police were called at around 3 a.m. to the area of Donald Street and Stradbrook Avenue and found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to hospital in critical condition.

The public is asked to avoid the area as police investigate.

Donald Street between McMillian Avenue and River Avenue is closed to all traffic. Stradbrook Avenue has been closed to eastbound traffic from Scott Street.
