A 53-year-old man from Split Lake, Manitoba was killed Saturday while walking on a gravel highway.
RCMP say it happened at around 7:45 p.m. on Provincial Road 280 about 18 km west of Split Lake.
The man had been walking northbound in the middle of the road when he was hit by a northbound pickup truck.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 55-year-old woman from Split Lake driving the truck, along with her passengers, were not injured.
Alcohol is not considered a factor.
Police are continuing to investigate.
