Man Locks Himself in Vehicle After Selling Cocaine to Undercover Cop

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — A man locked himself inside his vehicle after police say he sold an undercover officer crack cocaine on February 11 and 12.

Police say officers were able to get the man out and arrest him, later executing a search warrant in the 300 block of Colony Street in relation to the incident.

Approximately $88,000 worth of crack cocaine was seized, along with one ounce of powder cocaine, four grams of marijuana, scales and packaging materials, $9,500 in cash and a 2011 Land Rover LR2.

Emmanuel Umaru, 22, of Winnipeg, faces several drug-related charges and remains in custody.

A 20-year-old woman was also arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime. She was released on a promise to appear.
