WINNIPEG — An eight-year-old boy has succumbed to his injuries in hospital after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning.
The boy was attempting to cross St. Anne’s Road in a pedestrian crosswalk at Varennes Avenue when he was hit by a northbound vehicle at around 8:20 a.m.
Police say the vehicle remained on scene as the boy was transported to hospital in critical condition.
Schools in the immediate area have been notified, as well as the victim’s next of kin.
