Steinbach Man Killed When Snowmobile Hits Tree Near Falcon Lake

RCMP Logo VehicleA 25-year-old Steinbach man was killed Tuesday when the snowmobile he was driving struck a tree in the RM of Reynolds.

The crash happened at around 11:30 a.m. approximately 40 kilometres south of Falcon Lake.

Police say the man and his 54-year-old male passenger, also from Steinbach, were headed south on the Can Am Trail when the crash occurred.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, but was wearing a helmet at the time. Alcohol is not considered a factor.

RCMP continue to investigate.
