After nearly three months of service in Winnipeg, ride-sharing service TappCar is expanding into Steinbach.
Following a positive reception in Winnipeg, the Alberta-based company says expanding elsewhere in Manitoba was the logical choice.
“Thanks to an abundance of good jobs, smart local governance and a strong quality of life, Steinbach has seen its population increase by 43 percent over the last 10 years, and that growth trend is what potentially attracts new services such as rideshare,” said TappCar Spokesperson John Morris.
“This remarkable growth creates a need for more transportation options available to the community, so we’re delighted to announce we are considering launching our safe, reliable and affordable service in Steinbach.”
TappCar is seeking interested drivers in the region, who are encouraged to apply through its website. No date has been set for when service may begin in the city.
