Police Investigating Winnipeg’s 10th Homicide of the Year

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old man after a shooting early Wednesday.

Officers responded to a gunshot call at around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Flora Avenue and McKenzie Street.

Police have since identified the victim as Kenneth Wood of Winnipeg.

The homicide unit is investigating and asks anyone who had contact with Wood or knew his whereabouts prior to death to contact them. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
