The Sherbrook Street Festival is Saturday, September 8. (HANDOUT)
The annual Sherbrook Street Festival is happening in West Broadway on Saturday, September 8 and visitors can experience two stages of live music, a family fun area, a Merchant Village, and beer gardens.
The festival is now in its 14th year.
“I started Sherbrook Street Festival to bring together the West Broadway community and Winnipeggers alike to enjoy live music and celebrate the area. Year after year, we have many return visitors, and I love seeing that,” says Leah McCormick, executive director of West Broadway BIZ and founder of Sherbrook Street Festival.
The music starts at Mainstage at noon and runs until midnight. The musical artists this year include Big Loser, Dana Lee, Jaywood, Moon Tan and more. This year’s musical line-up is curated by Gil Carroll and Adam Soloway of Real Love Winnipeg. The duo is also responsible for organizing Sherbrook Street Festival at large. “The Festival has a smaller town vibe and it’s a gem amongst festivities that take place on the same weekend across the city. Plus it’s a nice send off to summer festival season,” says Carroll.
The festival will happen rain or shine on Sherbrook Street between Wolseley and Westminster. For more information, visit the Sherbrook Street Festival Facebook event.
