Winnipeg Police Seize $1M in Meth, Arrest Five People

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have made a large-scale drug bust, netting more than $1 million worth of methamphetamine.

The 10.14 kilograms of meth was seized as part of an investigation by the street crime unit targeting mid-level drug dealers.

Police also found $127,000 in heroin, $5,000 in fentanyl and $40,000 in cash.

Five adults have been arrested. Charges are pending.

In an unrelated incident on January 3, Winnipeg police executed a search warrant at a Transcona home, located 500 grams of meth worth an estimated $50,000. Officers also found
10 grams of fentanyl worth $5,000, two grams of heroin and two rocks of crack cocaine, scale, scoresheets and packaging material.

Crystal Smith of Winnipeg, 37, faces numerous drug-related charges. She was released on a promise to appear.
