WINNIPEG — Cold weather conditions have once again allowed for the extension of the Red River Mutual Trail.
Officials with The Forks say the trail now reaches Churchill Drive on the Red River, and to Hugo Docks on the Assiniboine River, making it 6.3 kilometres long.
Updated trail conditions can be found at theforks.com/skate or by following @RRMTrail on Twitter.
Newly-designed warming huts will begin appearing on the trail by the end of next week. Winter revellers can also take in a performance by Norwegian ice-musician and artist Terje Isungset on January 26 at Pavilion Sub-Zero in The Forks Historic Port.
