A home in the 700 block of Beverley Street was significantly damaged by fire Tuesday evening.
Winnipeg fire crews arrived on scene just before 7:30 p.m. and began an interior offensive attack. The fire was quickly knocked down, but the structure also suffered extensive smoke and water damage.
No one was home at the time, but occupants in two neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no estimate is available.
