Winnipeg Police Logo CrestTwo people were arrested Friday after police seized guns from the rear of a taxicab.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the cab at around 6 a.m. in the area of Salter Street and Mountain Avenue.

Police noticed a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun on the floor in the backseat while talking to the two passengers. Both people were arrested and searched, where police found a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle and shotgun ammunition in one of their backpacks.

Kyle Braden Roulette, 26, and a 22-year-old woman — both from Winnipeg — face several charges.

Roulette was detained in custody, while the woman was released on a promise to appear.
