Winnipeg Police Logo CrestWINNIPEG — Four people were injured Sunday afternoon after a man fired a shotgun into a home.

Three adults and a toddler were hurt when the suspect fired in the 400 block of Flora Avenue at around 3:15 p.m.

Police say all four victims were inside the house at the time and transported to hospital for treatment. The three adults are in stable condition, while the infant’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).

The shooting comes after three people were killed in two separate incidents overnight in the city. Police say their resources have been stretched over the past 18 hours as a result of the spike in crime.

“We will continue to triage all calls for service and prioritize personal and public safety over property concerns and incidents where there is no immediate threat. We ask those waiting for a police response during this time to please be patient,” police said in a statement.
