Sierra Noble‘s holiday schedule is a hectic one this year, but the Winnipeg singer-songwriter wouldn’t have it any other way.
The fiddle player is about to embark on a cross-Canada tour opening for country star Johnny Reid. If the 21-date “My Kind of Christmas” tour wasn’t enough, Noble is preparing to drop her latest single, “Time For Myself,” on the same day the tour visits Winnipeg next month.
“In an age of rising anxiety, expectations, and consumerism, it’s a song about taking care of yourself over the holiday season; and unapologetically ditching that boring office party,” Noble says.
The holiday single was written and produced with fellow Winnipeg musician and producer, Rusty Matyas (The Weakerthans, Imaginary Cities, The Sheepdogs).
Noble says it’s an honour to be on the road with Reid. The two will kick off their journey November 18 in St. John’s, NL and finish up in Abbotsford, B.C. on December 14. Winnipeg fans can get their fill when the tour stops at the Centennial Concert Hall on December 4.
“To be chosen to open for an artist and entertainer like Johnny Reid is beyond exciting, and an incredible honour. I can’t wait to help him spread musical holiday cheer all the way across this beautiful country!”
