A woman was killed and a man was injured Friday evening when their vehicle struck a deer one kilometre north of Neepawa.
The crash happened at around 5:55 p.m. on Highway 5.
RCMP say a 42-year-old man was driving northbound when his vehicle hit a deer that came up from east of the road. A second vehicle, travelling southbound, hit the same deer.
The occupants in the second vehicle, a 58-year-old man and a 58-year-old female passenger from the RM of Cornwallis, were taken to hospital with injuries. The woman was later pronounced deceased.
RCMP continue to investigate.
