Manitoba RCMP are looking for a suspect and a stolen vehicle after a carjacking in Elie on Wednesday morning.
Police say the suspect went to a residence in Elie and told the homeowner his vehicle had broken down and needed a boost.
As the homeowner drove the suspect to his alleged broken down vehicle, he was attacked and forced out of his truck. The suspect then took off towards Highway 1.
The homeowner suffered minor injuries in the attack.
RCMP searched the area, but couldn’t locate the stolen red 2014 Ford F-150 XLT. The truck is bearing Manitoba plate number EMV 397.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’10”, 170 lbs, with short black hair and a possible deformed lower lip. He was wearing a black hoodie and jeans at the time.
