Manitoba RCMP are asking motorists to slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles after one of their cruisers was hit on Thursday.

Police were stopped behind a semi-trailer that had been in a collision on Highway 1 near Headingley at around 7:30 a.m.

An elderly couple from the Headingley area was scammed out of a significant portion of their life savings by someone pretending to be a financial advisor.

Manitoba RCMP have charged Charles Morrison of Winnipeg, 69, after they say he had convinced the couple to cash out their assets and have him manage their money.

Crampton’s Market is being forced to relocate from its south Winnipeg location beginning next season.

The local market at the southwest corner of Waverley Street and Bishop Grandin Boulevard has leased the land from Manitoba Hydro since 1997, but the Crown corporation has changed its policies and is no longer able to lease the space.

Disgruntled former customers of Adrenaline Adventures are venting their frustration on social media after the outdoor adventure park in Headingley abruptly closed last week.

Citing creditor debt, the wakeboard and snow tubing facility ceased operations on December 15. Its assets are now being managed by Lazer Grant Inc.

RCMP are looking for a man in his 20s who held up a financial institution in Starbuck, Manitoba on Monday.

The robbery happened at around 10:45 a.m. when a man approached a teller with a note demanding large bills. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Woman Seriously Injured in Weekend Crash on Roblin Boulevard

RCMP Logo VehicleA 25-year-old woman was seriously injured on Saturday after being trapped inside a vehicle that hit the ditch on Roblin Boulevard.

The crash happened at around 4:15 a.m. in the RM of Headingley.

The 24-year-old male driver exited the vehicle, but his passenger needed to be extricated. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is listed in stable condition. Both occupants were from Winnipeg.

RCMP were called to the scene at around 4:45 a.m. and found the vehicle in the south ditch on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Gaol Road in the RM of Cartier.
