A Manitoba RCMP officer has been charged after the alleged careless storage of a firearm while off-duty.
The Independent Investigation Unit began looking into the incident in February of this year relating to the officer’s actions in northern Manitoba.
Cst. Richard Johnson has been issued a summons to appear in The Pas court on December 15.
No further details were released as the matter is now before the courts.
