Selkirk RCMP are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on September 6 that injured a 22-year-old man from the community.

Police say at around 2:40 p.m., the victim was struck by a grey Ford F-150 pickup truck while crossing the 300 block of Sophia Street. The driver of the truck fled the scene following the incident.

The victim was found shortly after the collision by a passerby and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated and released.

Police are looking for the suspect vehicle, which had four teenage occupants in it at the time of the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Selkirk RCMP at (204) 482-1222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
