Selkirk Man Dies Following Rollover on Highway 59

RCMP Logo VehicleOne person has died following a crash on June 29 which sent a pickup truck into a water-filled ditch on Highway 59.

The vehicle was travelling southbound at around 5:40 p.m. when it lost control and landed upside down in the west ditch approximately one kilometre north of Scanterbury, Manitoba.

Art on Ice is igniting the conversation about homelessness in Canada while creating a new community project in the city just north of Winnipeg.

IIU Watchdog Probing Police Pursuit Crash in Selkirk

Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba - IIUTwo people were injured in a crash in Selkirk on Saturday, prompting the Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit to step in.

The IIU says a brief pursuit took place at around 8:16 p.m. when police attempted to stop a pickup truck near the intersection of Manitoba Avenue and Main Street. The driver failed to stop and sped through a red light, colliding with another vehicle.
