An 80-year-old man has died after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Selkirk on Thursday.
Selkirk RCMP say officers were called just before 4 p.m. to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian near the intersection of Main Street and Selkirk Avenue.
Police say the man was crossing Main Street at a location without traffic signals when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. He was taken to Selkirk Regional Health Centre, where he was later pronounced dead.
The female driver remained at the scene and contacted 911. Selkirk RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
