Winnipeg police arrested a student at a Weston area school on Monday after a threat was found in a bathroom.

Police were alerted at 12:30 p.m. about a threat written on a note to students and staff at Keewatin Prairie Community School.

School officials initiated lockdown protocols as officers searched for the student believed to be responsible.

Shortly after 1 p.m., the student was arrested without incident in the 100 block of Cecil Street. School officials soon removed lockdown protocols.
