The Winnipeg Folk Festival will celebrate its 50th edition from July 10-13, 2025 at Birds Hill Provincial Park.
Marking five decades of music and community, the festival unveiled artwork by local designer Roberta Landreth on Monday, featuring a red fox and a banjo, symbolizing the festival’s adaptability and enduring legacy.
Festival preparations include city workshops, a concert series, and vintage merchandise, including a T-shirt inspired by the inaugural 1974 festival.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the 50th festival with all folkies at our home away from home in Birds Hill Park,” said executive director Valerie Shantz.
“This milestone year promises to be truly special, with exciting new initiatives, unique programming throughout the festival. We highly recommend that folks buy their tickets early to avoid missing out on this celebratory year, as tickets for the 49th festival, including camping, sold out.”
Tier 1 tickets are now on sale online and in person at the Winnipeg Folk Festival office (203-211 Bannatyne Avenue).
