Police, along with local fire and EMS, were advised the man was operating a skid-steer loader when it went through the ice.

With the assistance of the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART), the man’s body was recovered later that afternoon.

Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate.
