Winnipeg police have charged a 49-year-old man following an investigation into the sexual exploitation and assault of a female youth.

Police began their investigation in September 2024 after receiving a report involving a man and a youth victim. Police determined the victim had met the suspect through social media in December 2023 and maintained contact for several months, during which she was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions.
