The City of Winnipeg has introduced a new online tool to help residents track temporary accessibility disruptions at public facilities, bus stops, and sidewalks.
The webpage, launched Tuesday, allows users to search for affected locations by address, facility type, or area, providing real-time updates on accessibility issues. Notices will include the reason for the disruption, expected duration, and alternative options if available.
“Winnipeggers deserve to have the information they need to access City facilities with confidence and ease,” said Mayor Scott Gillingham.
“This new webpage is an important step in ensuring residents can plan their visits and know about any temporary accessibility disruptions in advance. It’s another way we’re working to make Winnipeg a more inclusive and accessible city for everyone.”
Facility staff will regularly update the page to ensure accurate information for residents.
