Access Credit Union president and CEO Larry Davey will retire in August 2025 after more than a decade leading the organization.
Davey, who has served as CEO of multiple credit unions over the past 20 years, took on the role at Access in 2012. Under his leadership, the credit union grew from $1.5 billion to over $13.5 billion in assets, becoming the largest in Manitoba.
“We are tremendously grateful for Larry’s leadership and vision that has not just transformed Access Credit Union but also fundamentally altered the credit union system in Manitoba,” said board chair Curt Letkeman.
“His passion for change, empowering staff to reach their full potential, and making our communities a priority has resulted in a credit union positioned for the benefit of all Manitobans.
The board has begun the search for his successor, with Davey staying on to ensure a smooth transition.
Access Credit Union recently announced plans to consolidate five Manitoba branches in the coming months in an effort to better serve its customers.
