Winnipeg police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a 25-year-old woman seriously injured early Saturday near Osborne Street and Mulvey Avenue East.
Emergency crews responded around 12:30 a.m. after a passerby found the victim lying on the road. She was transported to hospital in stable condition with extensive injuries.
Police determined the woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a large white cargo van, which then fled north on Osborne Street.
Police are urging the driver to come forward and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact investigators at (204) 986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
