WINNIPEG — A life-changing windfall is heading to Swan River after Rick Watts was named the Grand Prize winner in the 2025 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery.
Watts, whose ticket number was 7042389, now faces the enviable decision of choosing between a tax-free $1.25 million cash prize or one of five luxury home packages valued at more than $1.5 million.
The lottery, which supports the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Health Sciences Centre Foundation, and Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, raises critical funds to improve health care across the province.
Also celebrating a big win is Rhonda Friesen of Kleefeld, who claimed half of the 50/50 PLUS jackpot (ticket number 1157517), taking home $680,862.50.
All winners will be contacted directly and posted online at trihospitaldream.com by July 14.
Lottery proceeds go toward life-saving medical equipment, research, and improved care at Manitoba’s three largest hospitals, which serve nearly one million patients annually.
