Hollywood actor and musician Dermot Mulroney made a special appearance at Blue Cross Park on Monday night, tossing the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Winnipeg Goldeyes game.
Mulroney, best known for roles in “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “The Wedding Date,” is currently in Winnipeg filming the upcoming movie “November 1963,” which also stars John Travolta.
The crowd welcomed the actor with cheers as he took the mound. Filming for November 1963 — chronicling the lead-up to the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy in Dallas — continues at locations around the city this month.
