Four families in Brandon, Selkirk and Winnipeg are moving into new homes this summer through Habitat for Humanity Manitoba.
The non-profit, which builds and finances affordable housing with families, expects to help at least 26 more Manitoba families move in by the end of 2025, including 10 at its 55-home Transcona development.
“The journey to homeownership is a process that calls for dedication, determination, effort, and time from future homeowners,” said Jamie Hall, CEO of Habitat Manitoba.
“This investment not only supports their long-term success but also plays a vital role in making it possible to build more homes for other families across our province.”
Federal support through the Affordable Housing Fund, alongside community donations and homeowner mortgage payments, help made the projects possible.
