A 28-year-old man from the RM of St. Clements is facing charges after Selkirk RCMP stopped a vehicle with no licence plates near Highway 59 last Sunday afternoon.
An officer spotted the southbound vehicle near Dunning Road East at around 1:30 p.m. and pulled it over on Vernon Keats Drive. Police say the driver was uncooperative, had no identification, and did not hold a valid driver’s licence.
After a brief struggle, the driver was arrested and later released on conditions.
Mason Holland has been charged with obstructing police and resisting arrest.
Holland was also issued offence notices for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, driving without a valid licence, and carrying liquor in a vehicle.
Selkirk RCMP continue to investigate.
