Winnipeg police say four people are facing multiple drug and firearms charges after an investigation uncovered a coordinated trafficking network operating in the St. Boniface area.
Police began the investigation in the summer, identifying a group allegedly supplying large quantities of drugs to the downtown area.
On October 15, officers executed search warrants at apartment suites on Aubert Street and Youville Street. Police seized 1.8 kilograms of cocaine worth about $54,000, 450 Percocet pills, four rifles and revolvers — including one previously reported stolen — along with ammunition and about $45,000 in cash.
A 33-year-old man, a 50-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, and a 51-year-old woman are charged with multiple drug and firearm offences. All four were released on undertakings.
