Manitoba RCMP have officially opened a new detachment in Niverville, providing local policing services from a new 3,000-square-foot facility.
The detachment, located at 329A Bronstone Drive, opened its doors on Monday. It will be staffed by four officers and one public service employee, with the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP continuing to support the community as needed.
The office will operate Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering criminal record and vulnerable sector checks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Other services include general inquiries and special occasion licences.
“We are extremely proud to officially open this new detachment to better serve the ever growing and vibrant community of Niverville,” said Assistant Commissioner Scott McMurchy, commanding officer of the Manitoba RCMP.
“Many of our officers live in the community with their families and I know they are looking forward to providing the very best in policing services to a community they call home.”
For general inquiries, Niverville area residents can call (204) 388-7060 or (204) 388-9330 for non-emergency police reports.
