An 18-year-old man has died following a house fire Saturday morning in the 200 block of Yale Avenue West.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were called just before 7:30 a.m. and arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the Transcona home. Firefighters rescued one person from inside, while others had already made it out.

Paramedics assessed four people and transported them to hospital — one in critical condition and three in stable condition. The critically injured man later died.
