A person has died following a house fire early Saturday on Main Street North in Berens River First Nation.
Manitoba RCMP say police were called just before 2 a.m. and responded with the local fire department. After crews brought the blaze under control, officers searched the structure and found human remains inside.
RCMP say the fire does not appear to be criminal. The investigation continues with assistance from the RCMP forensic identification section and the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
