Jay Richardson (ALT943.COM)
Longtime Winnipeg broadcaster Jay Richardson has turned up at ALT 94.3 after departing Power 97 late last week.
Richardson most recently hosted the morning show at the Corus Entertainment station, following time as afternoon host before then. In total, he was with the iconic alternative station for six and a half years.
Richardson will soon spin tunes during the 2-6 p.m. weekday drive slot at Winnipeg’s music alternative, while also working as music director.
Aside from his radio duties, Jay continues to be the public address announcer for the Winnipeg Jets.
A Corus Entertainment spokesperson tells ChrisD.ca that Drex is filling mornings on Power 97 in the interim. “We look forward to announcing future plans for the time slot soon,” a statement said.
