A 41-year-old man has died following a snowmobile collision in the RM of La Broquerie on Friday.
Steinbach RCMP say officers were called at about 11:50 a.m. to a collision near a residence on Carriere Drive West. Police located the man at the scene and provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived.
The man was airlifted by STARS air ambulance to hospital in Winnipeg, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators believe the man was operating a snowmobile on private property when he lost control, crossed a roadway, and struck an embankment. Police say the man was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from the snowmobile, sustaining life-threatening injuries.
RCMP continue to investigate.
