A 41-year-old woman who was previously reported missing from Ebb & Flow First Nation has been found deceased, according to RCMP.

Manitoba RCMP confirmed that Becky Samantha McIvor was located dead on Sunday afternoon in a wooded area near the community. Police say no criminality is suspected at this time, but the cause of death remains under investigation pending the results of an autopsy.

McIvor was reported missing on December 24, after she had not been seen or heard from since December 20. At the time, RCMP said she had not contacted family or friends, prompting a search effort involving the Ebb & Flow First Nation Fire Department, relatives, and community members.

Officers had been conducting interviews in the community to establish a timeline of her last known movements.

Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
