Winnipeg Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey has been selected to represent Canada at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Italy.
The Jets, along with Hockey Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee, announced Morrissey’s inclusion on Team Canada’s roster for the men’s hockey tournament at the Milano Cortina Games, which will run from February 11 to 22, 2026.
The 30-year-old Calgary native is enjoying a strong season with Winnipeg, leading all Jets defencemen in assists and points while averaging more than 24 minutes of ice time per game. He also ranks among the top Canadian-born NHL defencemen this season in assists and total points.
Morrissey has previously represented Canada at several international events, including a gold medal at the 2015 World Junior Championship, a silver medal at the 2017 World Championship, and a championship win at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.
