Winnipeg police arrested two 15-year-old youths in the Kildonan Crossing area on Tuesday after officers found they were breaching court conditions and wanted on outstanding warrants.
Officers encountered the pair just before 9 p.m. in the 1500 block of Regent Avenue West. Police said the youths were known to officers, and record checks confirmed both were in breach of court-ordered conditions.
An imitation Glock-style firearm was located on one of the youths at the time of arrest.
A 15-year-old boy is charged with possession of a weapon, failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, and an outstanding warrant for failing to comply. A 15-year-old girl is charged with failing to comply with a release order and multiple outstanding warrants related to breaches of release conditions.
Both youths were taken into custody.
