A 42-year-old man has died following a workplace incident at a food manufacturing facility in the Rhineland Industrial Park, just north of Altona.
Pembina Valley RCMP say officers were called to the scene around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday. The man was being treated by emergency responders for severe injuries after being pulled into machinery.
He was transported to Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre, where he later died from his injuries.
Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety has been notified and is investigating. RCMP say their investigation is ongoing.
