Porter Airlines is increasing direct service from Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport as part of its 2026 summer schedule.
The Toronto-based airline has announced four weekly flights between Winnipeg and Hamilton, Ontario, beginning May 15.
In addition, YWG travellers will have increased frequency to Ottawa with 12 weekly seasonal flights — up from currently seven.
“We are making a substantial increase in flights for Porter this summer, touching on every region we fly to,” said Andrew Pierce, vice president, network planning and reporting, Porter Airlines, in a release.
“Our overall network is growing by 20%, the fastest rate for any airline in North America, as we continue providing service for more passengers.”
In a social media post celebrating the news, the Winnipeg Airports Authority said, “The airline is growing its presence at YWG and we can’t wait to see where they fly next.”
