Winnipeg police have arrested a youth after alleged threats towards a North End elementary school last week.

The youth faces a charge of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. They were released on an undertaking.

The threat is the latest in a series of similar incidents targeting Winnipeg schools in recent weeks. Bernie Wolfe School was evacuated on February 3 following a threat on social media, while St. John’s High School was closed on Monday after being the subject of a separate threat.
