Winnipeggers looking to shake off the late-winter chill will soon have a new excuse to grab a table downtown.
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ has launched Dine and Discover Downtown, a new 12-day culinary promotion running March 11 to 22 that will feature exclusive, limited-time menu items and specials at 31 restaurants, cafés and bars.
The BIZ says the initiative is designed to showcase downtown’s diverse food scene while supporting local businesses during a traditionally slower period.
From casual coffee meetups and quick lunches to happy hour gatherings and upscale dinners, participating venues will offer feature items at promotional prices.
“Our team is focused on delivering activations and programming that reflect our vibrant community and give people reasons to spend time downtown all year round,” said Kate Fenske, CEO, Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.
“Dine and Discover Downtown is an opportunity to try something new, explore downtown and support our local businesses at a time when they typically see a dip in foot traffic.”
As an added incentive, diners will be entered for a chance to win a $100 Downtown Winnipeg BIZ gift card each day of the promotion.
